Bahrain’s Electricity Minister Receives IMF Delegation

MANAMA, Bahrain, Feb 23 (NNN-BNA) – Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza, received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, currently visiting Bahrain, under the chairmanship of Bikas Joshi.

Electricity and Water Authority Deputy CEO of Distribution and Customer Services, Adnan Fakhro, and other officials were also present. 

The two sides discussed the development of the economy in various countries and the IMF’s leading role in supporting the development programmes and projects of those countries.

The minister briefed the delegation on the latest developments and achievements of Bahrain in the electricity, water and renewable energy sectors. He answered the delegation’s questions regarding the fields and expressed his readiness to cooperate with the IMF in the interest of the national economy.

The visitors appreciated and thanked the minister for the welcome and hospitality and on what was discussed during the meeting, which contributed to the general status of electricity, water and renewable energy in Bahrain.– NNN-BNA
