Mongolian Economy Expands 5.6 Percent In H1

ULAN BATOR, Aug 19 (NNN-APA) – Mongolia’s gross domestic product (GDP), grew 5.6 percent year on year, in the first half (H1) of 2025, according to data released by the country’s National Statistics Office (NSO).

The country’s GDP amounted to 15.3 trillion Mongolian tugriks (about 4.2 billion U.S. dollars) in the Jan-Jun period, the NSO said.

The growth was primarily driven by increased value-added contributions from the agricultural and construction sectors, as well as, the service sector, said the statistical agency.

Mongolia’s GDP grew 4.9 percent last year, earlier data showed.– NNN-APA
