Cuba and Mexico to strengthen bilateral ties



MEXICO CITY, May 5 (NNN-ACN) — Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla agreed on the interest of maintaining bilateral cooperation in several fields.

In a meeting held in the northern nation, both authorities exchanged about the existing collaboration programs between the two countries, and addressed regional and international issues, Cuban foreign minister reported on X.

Lopez Obrador also referred to the meeting in a message on the same social network, in which he highlighted the fruitful common friendship and mutual aid history between the Mexican and Cuban people.

“We talk about keeping our collaboration in education, health and other issues of public interests”, Lopez Obrador added.

Cuba and Mexico have maintained uninterrupted diplomatic relations since their establishment in 1902.

Both countries have deepened their ties during Lopez Obrador government, with the signing of new bilateral cooperation agreements. — NNN-ACN
