KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Jan 31 (Bernama-PRNewswire) — Garnier Malaysia today announced the wrap-up of its school education programme in partnership with the Malaysia Nature Society (MNS). The programme was launched in June 2022 with the objective to cultivate the next generation of Green Heroes through its nationwide ‘Garnier Jom Kurangkan Plastik Program’.
The nationwide school education programme saw a total of 600 schools where a total of 2,288 students and 782 teachers benefitted from the programme. Both students and teachers were educated on recycling, upcycling, and ways to tackle plastic pollution via virtual workshops. These students then put their knowledge to the test and ran respective recycling activities in their schools and managed to collect a total of 56,693kg of plastic during the duration of the campaign.
