TEHRAN, Sept 23 (NNN-MEHR) – Iran’s health ministry, yesterday reported 17,433 new COVID-19 cases, taking the country’s total infections to 5,477,229.
The pandemic has so far claimed 118,191 lives in the country, after 286 new deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, said Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
A total of 4,846,771 people have recovered from the disease, or been discharged from hospitals across the country, while 6,632 remain in intensive care units, according to the ministry.
By yesterday, 32,250,543 people have received at least a dose of the coronavirus vaccine in the country, while 14,648,891 have taken two doses.– NNN-MEHR
