India’s Environmental Minister Prakash Javdekar Tests Positive For COVID-19

NEW DELHI, Apr 17 (NNN-PTI) – India’s federal environment, forest and climate change minister, Prakash Javdekar, yesterday, tested positive for COVID-19.

Javdekar took to social media, announcing he has contracted the infection. The minister has requested all those who have come in contact with him, in the last two to three days, to get themselves tested.

“I have tested COVID-19 positive today (yesterday). All those who have come in contact with me in the last two to three days may please get themselves tested,” Javdekar said.

India is witnessing a resurgence in COVID-19 cases.

The federal health ministry, yesterday morning said, 217,353 new COVID-19 cases and 1,185 related deaths were registered in the past 24 hours across the country.– NNN-PTI
