260 Children Die In Camp In North-Eastern Syria Since Early This Year

DAMASCUS, Syria, April 21 (NNN-SANA) – At least 260 children have died, as a result of the tough humanitarian situation in a refugee camp in north-eastern Syria, since the beginning of 2019, a war monitor reported.

The children are part of hundreds of people who have died, in the al-Hol camp in the Kurdish-controlled part of Syria’s north-eastern province of Hasakah.

The deaths were caused by the “tragic situation” in the camp, such as the harsh weather and livelihood of people, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The al-Hol camp is home to 73,361 people, most of whom fled the Daesh-held areas in eastern Syria.– NNN-SANA
