Daesh Killed 53 In Syrian Desert Region: State TV

DAMASCUS, Feb 18 (NNN-SANA) – As many as 53 people were killed yesterday, when attacked by the Daesh group, in the desert region in eastern Syria, the Syrian national TV said.

The Daesh attacked and killed the people, near the city of Al-Sukhnah, in the eastern countryside of Homs province, when the victims, including 46 civilians and seven soldiers, were collecting truffles, according to the report.

On Feb 12, the Daesh killed 11 of the 75 people it kidnapped, in eastern Syria. The victims were also collecting truffles, when being kidnapped.

The Daesh militants took the desert region in eastern Syria as a safe area, after suffering heavy losses in 2018, and frequently attack and abduct civilians and military personnel in the region.– NNN-SANA
