Pakistani PM Invites Foreign IT Companies To Explore Talented Youth

ISLAMABAD, Dec 8 (NNN-APP) – Pakistani Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, has invited foreign information technology (IT) companies and experts, to fully explore indigenous talented youth of Pakistan, saying that, the country has enormous untapped potential in this sector.

Sharif made the remarks here last night, while addressing an IT-related event.

In the last decade or so, he said, Pakistani entrepreneurs had made great strides to promote the IT sector, with individual and collective efforts, adding that, the government has also been playing a proactive role in supporting the efforts in this regard.

Given the youth potential, the prime minister said that, 60 percent of the country’s total population are composed of youth. “This is a challenge, as well as, an opportunity to convert this potential into opportunity,” he added.

The prime minister said that, Pakistan possesses huge potential to increase its IT product exports, as the current export figure at 2.6 billion U.S. dollars does not reflect the immense talent it has.– NNN-APP
