Singapore Reports 20 New COVID-19 Cases

SINGAPORE, Jun 7 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 20 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, including six locally transmitted and 14 imported, bringing the total tally to 62,196.

Of the six locally transmitted infections, five are linked to previous cases, all of whom have already been placed under quarantine. The remaining one case is currently unlinked.

Also yesterday, 22 more recovered patients were discharged from hospitals and community isolation facilities, bringing the total number of recoveries to 61,635.

There are currently 207 COVID-19 patients being treated in hospitals. Of them, two are in critical condition and held in the intensive care unit.

Meanwhile, 321 people, who have mild symptoms or are clinically well, but still test positive for COVID-19 are being isolated and cared for at community facilities.

A total of 33 people have passed away in the country, from the pandemic, official data showed.– NNN-CNA
