JAKARTA, Nov 4 (NNN-ANTARA) – Indonesia welcomed 11.43 million foreign tourist arrivals, in the first nine months of this year, up 10.22 percent from the same period last year, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) said, yesterday.
In Sept alone, 1.39 million foreign visitors entered the country, marking a year-on-year increase of 9.04 percent.
“The largest number of foreign tourists in Sept came from Malaysia, Australia, and Singapore,” said Pudji Ismartini, deputy for distribution and services statistics department, at BPS, at a press conference.
Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport remained the busiest entry point, handling 634,482 arrivals, according to the agency.– NNN-ANTARA
