COVID-19 Cases Rise To 142,587 In Myanmar

YANGON, Apr 12 (NNN-MNA) – The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar has risen to 142,587, including 11 newly detected infections, according to a release from the Ministry of Health, yesterday.

No new deaths from the pandemic were recorded yesterday, leaving the death toll unchanged at 3,206 in the country, the release said.

According to the official data, a total of 131,856 patients have been discharged from hospitals, after they fully recovered, and over 2.55 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, in the country, including 1,184 samples taken yesterday.

Myanmar reported its first two confirmed cases of the COVID-19, on Mar 23, last year.– NNN-MNA
