YANGON, Feb 21 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar’s Peace Process Steering Team (PPST), of 10 Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) signatories, yesterday, announced a suspension of political dialogues with the military.

The PPST demands the release of all detained leaders and will cooperate with international community, to resolve the current political crisis, the PPST said in a statement.

Myanmar’s military reformed the Peace Talks Committee on Feb 1, for continuing talks with armed ethnic organisations, after the declaration of a one-year state of emergency in the country.

Ten ethnic armed organisations have signed the NCA with the government, since it was initiated in Oct, 2015.– NNN-MNA
