ASTANA, Oct 18 (NNN-KTA) – Kazakhstan is developing seven national standards, in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), the official Kazinform news agency reported, yesterday.
At a regional meeting, Zhanna Yesenbekova, chair of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology, under the country’s Ministry of Trade and Integration, said that, the national AI standards are being developed, based on documents of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), covering issues of terminology, risk management and AI system architecture.
Yesenbekova noted that, Kazakhstan is actively involved in the global digital development agenda.
During the event, attended by ISO Secretary-General, Sergio Mujica, it was also announced that, a representative from Kazakhstan was appointed ISO regional manager, for Russian-speaking countries in Europe and Central Asia.– NNN-KTA
