Bomb Explosion Leaves Four Dead In NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Sept 30 (NNN-APP) – Four people, including two minors and a senior citizen, were killed and 15 others injured, when a bomb went off in Mardan district, of Pakistan’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, yesterday, police sources said.

Some unknown militants fixed explosive materials in a motorbike, parked inside the market place and detonated them with a remote controlled device, before fleeing the scene, the police said,

Initially, the police sources, said, the incident happened due to an explosion of a gas cylinder of a rickshaw, but later, explosive materials were found from the site during the investigation process.

The injured people, including a kid, have been shifted to a nearby hospital where one of them is in critical condition.

This was the second explosion in the province yesterday. Earlier, five people were killed and another was injured when a mortar shell exploded in Nowshera district.– NNN-APP
