Arab Parliament To Present Demands To First EU-Arab Summit

CAIRO, Egypt, Feb 18 (NNN-AGENCIES) – The Arab Parliament, said that, it would present its demands to the Arab and EU leaders, during their coming summit, which will be held in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, on Feb 24-25.

The demands, reflecting the aspirations of the Arab people, were agreed on during the Arab Parliament session, held in Cairo on Feb 12, parliament speaker, Mishaal al Salami, said.

The Arab demands would focus on the Palestinian cause, fighting terrorism and extremism, combating money laundering and tackling proliferation, Salami added.

Leaders from both sides will convene to discuss ways of strengthening Arab-European ties.

They will also address a wide range of issues and common challenges, such as multi-lateralism, trade and investment, migration, security, and the regional situation.

The summit will be co-chaired by Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, and European Council President, Donald Tusk.
