TEHRAN, July 19 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran Football Federation (IFF), confirmed a friendly match with Uzbekistan, on Sept 17, Tasnim news agency reported, on Saturday.
IFF spokesman, Amir Mehdi Alavai, said that, the match will be held as part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.
“The clash will be held at Tashkent’s Bunyodkor Stadium, on Sept 17,” Alavi was quoted as saying.
“We are also trying to arrange a friendly with Syria in Tehran, on Sept 3,” he said.
The Asian qualifiers for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, are set to resume on Oct 8.
