KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) — Employees of E&P O&M Services Sdn Bhd (EPOMS), a subsidiary of PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, have donated a total of RM25,000 through a voluntary staff salary contribution initiative to MERCY Malaysia’s COVID-19 Pandemic Fund. The COVID-19 Pandemic Fund aims to support Malaysia’s health care system by contributing funds towards medical services and essential needs of marginalised groups.
The donation drive saw employees contributing a portion of their salary via automatic deduction from their June 2020, salaries. This initiative complements PETRONAS Group’s donation drive in April 2020, which collected a total of RM6.4 million from employees’ voluntary salary contribution and was channeled to the Tabung COVID-19 under the National Disaster Management Agency or NADMA.
