Singapore Reports 262 New COVID-19 Cases

SINGAPORE, June 22 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 262 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 42,095.

Of the new cases, 97 percent are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

On Sunday, 718 more cases have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 34,942 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged.

There are currently 179 confirmed cases, who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and one is in critical condition, in the intensive care unit.

Currently 6,948 cases are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

Till now 26 have passed away from complications.– NNN-CNA
