Israel Reports 175 New COVID-19 Cases, 18,355 In Total

JERUSALEM, June 11 (NNN-MA’AN) – The Israeli Ministry of Health reported 175 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number in the country to 18,355.

The death toll and the number of patients in serious condition remained at 299 and 31 respectively, according to the ministry.

The number of recoveries rose to 15,187 after 28 more have recovered, while the number of active cases rose to 2,869, the highest since May 20.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli Ministry of Education said, 144 schools and kindergartens across the country were closed, after coronavirus patients were detected in them.

A total of 433 pupils and staffers have been tested positive for COVID-19, with 23,969 being in quarantine, as contacts with confirmed patients.– NNN-MA’AN
