Cambodian PM To Attend ASEAN+3 Summit On COVID-19 Via Video Conference Tomorrow

PHNOM PENH, Apr 13 (NNN-AKP) – Cambodian Prime Minister, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, will attend the special ASEAN Summit and the special ASEAN+3 (China, Japan and South Korea) Summit, on COVID-19, via video conference tomorrow (Tuesday), here, said a foreign ministry’s statement.

The upcoming summits were convened by Vietnam, the current chair of ASEAN.

During the video conference, Hun Sen will deliver two substantive remarks, by focusing on impacts of COVID-19 on social and economic development, global economic growth, as well as, the serious effects of the virus on security, economy, trade and social affairs, the statement said.

Cambodia has so far recorded a total of 122 confirmed cases of the COVID-19, with 77 patients cured, according to a Ministry of Health statement.

ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.– NNN-AKP
