Oman’s Energy Firm Inks Five Deals To Set Up Integrated Plant

MUSCAT, Oman, Feb 3 (NNN-ONA) – Oman’s Duqm Power Company, signed five agreements with international and local companies, to set up an integrated power and water plant, a statement issued by Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority said, Saturday.

According to the statement, the plant will be built on an area of 45 hectares with a total investment of about 480 million U.S. dollars.

The initial operation of the plant is expected to start in the third quarter of 2020.

The project also includes the design, supply, construction and operation of a combined cycle power plant.– NNN-ONA
