Malaysia records 3rd death from COVID-19

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 (Bernama) — Malaysia recorded its third COVID-19 fatality when a 58-year-old local man died at the Tawau Hospital in Taway, Sabah this evening.

Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah posted on his official Facebook page that the man, case No 152, died at 6.27pm and was a member of Sri Petaling Mosque tabligh gathering cluster.

The man was admitted to the Tawau Hospital on March 9 suffering from symptoms of severe acute respiratory infection.

“He was given respiratory assistance and warded at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the same day. His health deteriorated day by day and he was pronounced dead today at 6.27pm,” said Dr Noor Hisham.
