Saudi Arabia Refers 56 Corruption-Related Suspects To Public Prosecutor

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Jan 31 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday, referring 56 individuals to the Public Prosecutor for corruption-related cases.

The announcement was made in a report, submitted by the anti-corruption committee, to the Saudi King, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The report said that 381 individuals have been summoned, and some were summoned as witnesses.

As part of the settlements, more than 106.6 billion U.S. dollars were retrieved to the state treasury, in the form of real estate, companies, cash, and other assets.

In 2017, a number of princes and top government officials were arrested, in corruption cases.– NNN-SPA
