12th Middle East Int’l Invention Fair Kicks Off In Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17 (NNN-KUNA) – The 12th International Invention Fair of the Middle East (IIFME), kicked off on Sunday (yesterday), in Kuwait City, capital of Kuwait.

At the launching ceremony, Talal Jassim Al-Kharafi, chairman of the higher committee of IIFME, said that, the event, launched in collaboration with the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva and Kuwait Science Club, attracted more than 100 inventors from 40 different countries.

The four-day fair was an important opportunity for inventors to show their work, at one of the most important exhibitions for international inventions, he said, adding that, it is one of the largest specialised invention fairs in the Middle East.

This fair is the first of its kind to present huge financial prizes, he said, noting that these prizes were set to encourage and support inventors.

The first IIFME was held in 2007.– NNN-KUNA
