RAFO Helicopters Carry Out Medical Evacuations

MUSCAT, Jan 18 (NNN-ONA) – Two helicopters of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), carried out two medical evacuations this evening (yesterday evening).

The first evacuation was carried out to a citizen suffering from a critical health condition.  She was transferred from the Niyabat of Al Halaniyat Islands, in the Wilayat of Shaleem and Al Halaniyat Islands, to Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, to receive necessary treatment.

The second evacuation was carried out to a citizen suffering from cancer.  She was transferred from Khasab Hospital in Governorate of Musandam, to the Royal Hospital in Muscat, to receive the necessary treatment.

This comes within the framework of the humanitarian services, provided by the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and the departments of the Ministry of Defence, to citizens and residents in the country, along with other government institutions.– NNN-ONA
