Jordan’s PM Says 2020 State Budget Not To Include New Taxes

AMMAN, Nov 27 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordanian Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, said that, Jordan’s 2020 state budget will not include any new taxes.

During a meeting at the Finance Ministry, Razzaz said that, the budget aims at enhancing financial and monetary stability, stimulating economic growth and maintaining current tax levels.

The prime minister also underlined the importance of dealing with the issue of tax evasion, through legal and administrative means.

In the 2020 state budget, the Jordanian government will increase capital expenditure, which will play a key role in boosting public-private partnership.

Jordan’s Finance Minister, Mohamad Al-Ississ, said that, capital expenditure will be increased by 28 percent in the 2020 state budget, which is the highest in years, to stimulate economic growth.– NNN-PETRA
