KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 (Bernama) — BERNAMA would like to clarify that our reporter was not involved in the commotion that had lead to the assault of ASLI CEO Melissa Ong at the ASLI-Russia Trade & Business Investment Forum in Kuala Lumpur held earlier today.
A man had been impersonating as a BERNAMA reporter to gain entry into the forum. He had previously worked as a part-timer stringer for BERNAMA, and his contract was terminated in August 2017. BERNAMA has lodged a police report against this person for impersonating a BERNAMA reporter.
