Turkey To Send Daesh Members Back To Countries Of Origin: Minister

ANKARA, Nov 5 (NNN-ANADOLU) – Turkey will send back Daesh captives to their countries of origin, even if the countries have deprived them of their citizenship, Turkish Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu, said.

“We will send members of Daesh to their countries, whether they are expatriated or not,” Soylu said.

“Those in prisons are all foreign terrorist fighters, and there are also foreign terrorist fighters in the repatriation centres,” he stated.

There are some 1,200 foreign Daesh members being held in Turkish prisons, along with 287 relatives. Some of them are women and children, seized by Turkey, during its recent military operation in Syria, Soylu said.

Criticising that some Western countries have stripped the Daesh members of their citizenship and rejected their return, Soylu said, the attitude creates new problems in the international law.– NNN-ANADOLU
