Jordan wins Interpol Executive Committee membership

AMMAN, Oct 19 (NNN-PETRA) — Jordan, on Friday was voted in as a member of the Interpol Executive Committee after receiving 135 votes, with three abstaining, and one opposed.

The move came during the 88th Interpol General Assembly meeting in Santiago, Chile to address a range of global security issues.

The committee has 13 members comprising the President of the organization, three vice-presidents and nine delegates. They are all from different countries and the geographical distribution is balanced.
