Bangkok’s Elevated Rail System Conducts 1st Trial Run Along Northern Stretch

BANGKOK, Oct 16 (NNN-TNA) – Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS)’s elevated rail system, conducted the first trial run along a new stretch, on the capital city’s northern outskirts.

The trial run was successfully conducted from Lad Phrao Intersection station, near a heavily congested Vibhavadi Rangsit road, to Kasetsart University station, passing three other stations along the way.

The stretch of the BTS line between Lad Phrao and Kasetsart is scheduled to open to in Dec.

The full stretch up north to Khu Khot station, in the outlying province of Pathum Thani, which is currently under construction, is expected to open for service by the end of next year.– NNN-TNA
