Bangladeshi PM Arrives In Delhi For 4-Day Official Visit

NEW DELHI, Oct 4 (NNN-PTI) – Bangladeshi Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, arrived in New Delhi on Thursday evening, for a four-day official visit.

This is Hasina’s first visit to India, after emerging victorious for the third consecutive term, and also after the recent general elections in India, throwing a convincing victory for a second consecutive term for Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

On Thursday, Hasina attend the ‘India Economic Summit’ of the World Economic Forum (WEF), and began her bilateral visit from Friday (today).

She is slated to hold one-on-one meeting with her Indian counterpart, Modi, on Saturday, besides holding delegation-level talks with the Indian leadership.

According to Indian media, the two leaders are likely to discuss several key issues, such as Teesta water sharing and Rohingyas.

Several bilateral agreements are likely to be signed during the visit, added the Indian media reports.

The two prime ministers will also jointly inaugurate three bilateral projects, via video link, said sources in the Indian External Affairs Ministry.– NNN-PTI
