UAE Provides 12 Tonnes Of Food To Hospitals In Yemen

ABU DHABI, Sept 21 (NNN-WAM) – The UAE has provided 12 tonnes of food supplements to hospitals, in the Yemeni Governorate of Taiz.

The United Arab Emirates provided these food supplements through its humanitarian arm, the Emirates Red Crescent.

The food aid was delivered to the Public Health Office (PHO) in Taiz, as part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts, to help Yemeni children and mothers, suffering from severe malnutrition at the hospitals in Taiz.

Ali Saeed, deputy director of the PHO, in Al Muzzafar district of Taiz, said, the aid will help hospitals cater for the needs of mothers and children, suffering from various health problems, including malnutrition.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, announced in July, that it offered 5.59 billion U.S. dollars in foreign assistance to Yemen, between Apr, 2015 and June, 2019.– NNN-WAM
