Jordan Summons Israeli Ambassador To Request Release Of Detained Jordanians

AMMAN, Sept 11 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan summoned Israeli Ambassador to Jordan, Amir Weissbrod, demanding for the immediate release of two Jordanians detained by Israel, recently.

Jordan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Sufian Qudah, said, the ministry requested Israel to inform it, with the charges against the two Jordanians, Abdulrahman Meri and Hiba Abdulbaqi.

The two Jordanians were detained by Israeli authorities after crossing the King Hussein Bridge, on the Jordan-Israel border.

Qudah said that Israel was urged to guarantee the protection of the Jordanians’ legal rights.

The ministry would continue to work, to secure the release of the two Jordanians, the spokesperson added.– NNN-PETRA
