Europe’s 3rd largest defence industry exhibition takes off in Poland

KIELCE (Poland), Sept 4 (NNN-BERNAMA) — The 27th edition of the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO 2019), Europe’s third-largest exhibition of its kind, opened here Tuesday.

Featuring the latest of helicopters, armoured equipment and rockets, aviation equipment, air defence systems, medical equipment as well as cutting-edge communication technologies, the four-day event is being held at the Targi Kielce Exhibition and Congress Centre here.

The expo known by its Polish acronym, MSPO, is also Poland’s premier defence show.

A total of 607 companies from 31 countries are taking part in the exhibition.

Poland’s President Andrzej Duda, who is also the honorary patron of the MSPO, visited the expo on Tuesday.

This year, the United States is the leading nation in the exposition, showcasing along with other products, its F-35 fighter model.

At the opening Tuesday, the US also provided a spectacular flight show at the venue, displaying its aircraft capabilities.

The WB Group,  Poland’s private largest technological concern in the defence sector, and which has a presence in Malaysia, is the second-largest exhibitor at this year’s MSPO.
