Tokyo, Japan, June 4 – A popular snack from Fukuoka, southwestern Japan, has earned a Guinness World Record for having the most sales in a calendar year in a new category dedicated to bean paste-filled confectionery. An event to celebrate the record set in 2018 by the Hakata Torimon, a type of “manju” steamed bun filled with soft white bean paste, was held Monday in front of JR Hakata Station.
