Saudi Interior Ministry Warns Against Those Who Transport Illegal Pilgrims

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, July 28 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi Interior Ministry warned, on Saturday, bus and taxi drivers of transporting pilgrims without permission, to perform the Hajj in Mecca.

It highlighted that, the violators would face a jail term of 15 days for the first offence, two months for the second time and six months for the third.

The penalty multiplies per the number of caught illegal pilgrims. The punishments also included fines and deportation for foreign drivers, the ministry added.

Saudi Arabia has been taking tough measures, to ensure the safety of pilgrims, to prevent overcrowding at the ritual sites, and provide the best services.– NNN-SPA
