Oman Receives Injured Iranian From Saudi Arabia

MUSCAT, Oman, July 22 (NNN-ONA) – Oman, on Sunday, said, it received an injured Iranian citizen from Saudi Arabia, according to an official statement by the foreign ministry.

“The Iranian is now in Muscat, after he had received the necessary medical treatment in Saudi Arabia,” read the statement.

The Iranian citizen is a crew member of an Iranian ship, who was previously evacuated for medical reasons, from a vessel off the Yemeni port of Hodeidah.

The Omani help came, in response to a request from the governments of Iran and Saudi Arabia, and upon personal instructions from Sultan Qaboos of Oman.

Saudi Arabia had said in June that, it evacuated a crew member for medical reasons, from a “suspect” Iranian ship, north-west of Hodeidah, after receiving a request for help from Tehran.– NNN-ONA
