Saudi-Led Coalition Intercepts Three Houthi Drones

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, July 17 (NNN-SPA) – The Saudi-led coalition, involved in a war in Yemen, announced the interception of three drones launched from Amran Province, Yemen, that were heading for the kingdom.

The spokesperson of the coalition, Col. Turki Al Maliki, said, the destroyed drones were targeting civilian sites, in the Saudi border cities of Jazan and Abha.

On Monday, the coalition announced the interception of two drones that targeted the Saudi city of Khamis Mushait.

Al Maliki said that, while the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen is in Sanaa, the Houthi militia still continues to target civilian airports in Abha, Jazan and Najran, as well as, civilians and civilian facilities, proving its criminality and extremist thought against the Yemeni people and neighbouring countries.

He stressed that the command of the joint forces of the coalition will take all actions to strike the militia, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.– NNN-SPA
