SYDNEY, Jan 27 (NNN-AAP) – Two people sustained life-threatening injuries, after a light plane crashed in the Australian state of Queensland, this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports that a plane had crash-landed, and skidded off the end of a runway, at the Gold Coast Sports Flying Club, about 55 km south-east of Brisbane, shortly before 6.00 a.m. local time.
The plane came to a stop in the grassland, at the end of the runway, and sparked a large fire. The pilot and the passenger were pulled out of the plane with life-threatening injuries.– NNN-AAP
