Cambodia’s Agricultural Product Exports Up 7.3 Percent Last Year

PHNOM PENH, Jan 25 (NNN-AKP) – Cambodia made a gross revenue of 6.46 billion U.S. dollars, from its exports of agricultural products in 2025, up 7.3 percent from 6.02 billion dollars in the year before, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said in a report, today.

Potential agricultural products for exports included rice, rubber, cassava, mangoes, bananas, peppercorn, cashew nuts, longans, and durians, among others.

The report said, China is a key market for Cambodian products, especially for milled rice.

Cambodian Ministry of Commerce’s Secretary of State and Spokesperson, Penn Sovicheat, said, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, and the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA) have given a boost to Cambodia’s agricultural exports.

“Under these trade deals, Made-in-Cambodia products, particularly quality agricultural produce, have been exported to China with preferential tariffs,” he said.

Agriculture is one of the four pillars supporting Cambodia’s economic growth, in addition to garment, footwear, and travel goods, tourism, and construction and real estate.– NNN-AKP
