KATHMANDU, Jan 19 (NNN-XINHUA) – Five people were killed and 12 others injured, in a bus accident in eastern Nepal’s Dharan, in Sunsari district, last night, said a local police officer.
The accident took place when a bus, travelling from Bhedetar to Dharan, went out of control and rammed into a local shop.
“All five were killed on the spot,” Keshav Thebe, chief of the district police, said.
The injured are receiving treatment at a medical college in the district, he noted. The police are yet to ascertain how many passengers the bus was carrying.– NNN-XINHUA
