ALMATY, Jan 17 (NNN-KTA) – Crude oil transportation, via the trunk pipeline system of Kazakhstan’s national oil transporter, KazTransOil, reached 45.1 million tonnes last year, the highest level recorded over the past seven years, the company’s press service said, yesterday.
According to KazTransOil, its crude oil throughput exceeded 36 billion tonne-kilometres, last year.
Supplies of crude oil to domestic refineries totalled 18 million tonnes , up four percent year on year. Total cargo transshipment volume amounted to 7.2 million tonnes, up 10 percent year on year.
As a result of systematic measures, to reduce energy consumption, specific energy use per unit of crude oil freight turnover fell by 2.5 percent, last year, compared with 2024. Between 2010 and 2025, this indicator declined by 60 percent, the company said.– NNN-KTA
