
CARACAS, Jan 14 (NNN-TELESUR) — The acting president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, met Tuesday with the special envoy of the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, at the Miraflores Complex in Caracas.
This activity, which is part of a series of meetings with diplomats from various nations held this week at the seat of the National Executive, is part of the Bolivarian Government’s efforts to consolidate a new stage of relations within the framework of Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace and respect for International Law.
During the session, the Emirati representative conveyed a message of “unity, cooperation, and mutual support” from the Government and people of the United Arab Emirates.
Also attending the meeting on the Venezuelan side were the Vice President for Economic Affairs, Calixto Ortega; and Foreign Minister Yván Gil. and the Minister of People’s Power for Ecological Mining Development, Héctor Silva.
Both nations assessed investment opportunities in strategic productive sectors of Venezuela, with a view to revitalizing a diplomatic relationship that dates back more than 50 years. They also promoted joint initiatives aimed at the progress and well-being of both peoples, in line with the principles of South-South cooperation.
This rapprochement reflects the mutual interest of Venezuela and the United Arab Emirates in expanding their bilateral relationship beyond the political sphere, exploring alliances in economic, energy, and sustainable development areas. — NNN-TELESUR
