ALMATY, Jan 13 (NNN-KNA) – Kazakhstan has become one of the few countries, whose men’s and women’s tennis players have both entered the world’s top 10 rankings, it was reported yesterday, citing the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
Kazakhstan’s leading female tennis player, Elena Rybakina, has maintained a stable position in the top 10 of the WTA rankings, and was ranked fifth early this year.
On the men’s side, Alexander Bublik recently won an ATP Tour event in Hong Kong, China. Following the victory, his ATP world ranking rose to 10th, making him the first Kazakh male tennis player in history to break into the world’s top 10.– NNN-KNA
