ISLAMABAD, Jan 7 (NNN-APP) – At least three people were killed and 16 others seriously injured, when a passenger bus plunged into a deep ravine, in Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province today, rescue officials said.
The accident happened in Talagang district, when the bus was travelling from Rawalpindi to Multan, officials from Rescue 1122, said.
The bus plunged into a ravine about 100 feet deep, while navigating a sharp turn in the mountainous area.
Rescue teams and district administration officials rushed to the scene after receiving information and carried out rescue operations.
The injured and the bodies of the deceased were shifted to a government hospital in Talagang for medical treatment and legal formalities.– NNN-APP
