KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 6 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Former Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohamad, has been hospitalised, following a fall at his home this morning, according to his press secretary.
Mahathir was taken to the National Heart Institute at 9:30 a.m. local time by ambulance, but remained conscious, the secretary said in a brief statement.
“He had a fall early this morning, and normally that requires an observation in hospital. He fell (while) transiting from one part of the balcony to the living room,” he said.
Mahathir has been in and out of hospital in recent years, having a history of heart problems and has undergone bypass surgeries.– NNN-BERNAMA
