Tanzania, India seek proper measures to manage people’s immigration

DAR ES SALAAM, Jan 3 (NNN-DAILYNEWS) — TANZANIA, and India have affirmed their intent to enhance and deepen ties in managing foreign nationals and people’s migration.

This was verified during a meeting between the  Commissioner General of Immigration of Tanzania (CGI), Dr Anna Makakala, and the Indian High Commissioner to Tanzania, Bishwadip Dey, who held official talks focused on strengthening cooperation in immigration matters between the two countries.

The discussions aimed at enhancing and deepening the working relationship between the Tanzania Immigration Department and the Indian High Commission, particularly in the areas of foreign nationals’ management and migration.

The meeting was held at the Immigration Office in Kurasini, Dar es Salaam.

During the meeting, Bishwadip Dey was accompanied by a delegation from the Indian High Commission, who expressed their country’s commitment to continuing close cooperation with the Government of Tanzania through the Immigration Department.

Both sides jointly emphasized their determination to further strengthen close cooperation for the benefit of national security and safety of both countries, as well as to promote social and economic development. — NNN-DAILYNEWS
