GENEVA, Jan 1 (NNN-XINHUA) — At least 10 people were killed and 10 others injured after an explosion at a bar in the Crans-Montana ski resort in Valais Canton of southwestern Switzerland on Thursday, a Swiss public broadcaster reported.
The blast occurred at around 1:30 a.m. local time and triggered a fire at the bar, Radio Television Suisse (RTS) reported, citing Valais cantonal police.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but the cause of the blast remains unclear.
A press conference on the incident is scheduled for 10 a.m. local time, the report said. — NNN-XINHUA
