ISLAMABAD, Dec 22 (NNN-APP) – Nine terrorists were killed in two intelligence-based operations, in Pakistan’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said, yesterday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, four terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire in Dera Ismail Khan district. Five others were neutralised in a separate operation in the Bannu district. Both operations were conducted on Dec 19.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who were involved in attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies and civilians, the statement said.
Clearance operations are being conducted, to eliminate the remaining terrorists in the area, the ISPR added.– NNN-APP
